If you’re looking for the best top 10 anti-aging tips, then you’ve come to the right place.
I have always been fascinated with looking young. Maybe that’s because I grew up with women who look younger than their age. Whatever the reason is, I have spent a portion of my time getting educated on the matter, religiously practicing good skincare habits, and observing how other young-looking women do it. And I think those efforts paid off because a number of people I meet would say I look younger than my age.
I think it’s great to try to look young because looking young has certain benefits, which are:
- it makes you feel good and happy
- it makes you feel confident. And when you’re confident you can face the world and relate with others better.
So I’m sharing with you the best top 10 anti-aging tips I’ve learned over the years. They’re from my own experience and from what I’ve seen other people who’ve successfully achieved it do.
Eat Healthily
I believe in that saying that goes “You are what you eat”. I think what you put inside your body manifests in your outward appearance. For instance, I’ve noticed that people who consume lots of red meat have dull, splotchy skin. Not to mention that they smell differently.
Eating nutritious food translates to a clearer complexion and overall beautiful skin. Examples of these anti-aging foods are vegetables like green leafy ones and others like carrots.
Taking in foods that are rich in antioxidants helps a lot too. Examples are Chia seeds, which are said to be rich in these antioxidants. It’s chock-full of other health benefits, too. Try this delicious and easy Chia Pudding we love for breakfast.
Corollary to eating healthy is avoiding junk foods. Not only are junk foods not good for the body, they are also said to speed up aging too.

Anti-Aging Vitamins
Some use anti-aging vitamins as supplements like those rich in Vitamin E. I haven’t tried one, so I wouldn’t know how effective they are, but I guess, if nothing else, they help the body in whatever way, being vitamins and all that.
Anti-Aging Diets
Still, there are anti-aging diets out there. Similar to anti-aging vitamins, I haven’t tried them, so I can’t provide any feedback. You can research them, though, and if you eventually try, let us know how they worked for you.
Enough Sleep
Getting the right amount of sleep is a must for looking young. Sleep is said to be the time when the body repairs itself. Notice how when after you sleep you look better and refreshed. Try to have eight hours of sleep every day.
Also, it is said that going to bed early is better for the body than going to bed late even if the amount of sleep for both is the same.
Exercise Regularly
Exercising helps blood flow through your body. I noticed that with regular exercise, my skin has this rosy glow and is more firm. It is said to slow down aging too.

Follow a Skincare Regimen
Religiously following a good skin care regimen is a must. A good skincare regimen means:
- washing your face in the morning and before bed
- and applying anti-aging products twice a day
Washing your face, of course, rids the dirt and impurities from your face, so it cleans your face and rids bacteria from building up.
Anti-Aging Moisturisers and Creams
I couldn’t stress quite enough the importance of using anti-aging products because in my case they helped me a lot. I attribute my clear skin to the anti-aging products that I use.
I started using anti-aging products when I was in my mid-twenties and I never stopped since. This brings me to the importance of starting your anti-aging regimen early because you want to prevent aging before it sets in and not when they’re already showing. Prevention is always better than cure, as they say. So, ideally, start your anti-aging skin care when you’re in your twenties.
Start your anti-aging regimen early to prevent the early onset of ageing.
In the morning, I use an anti-aging moisturizer called Olay Total Effects for my face and an Olay Total Effects eye cream for my eyes. Before bedtime, I apply tretinoin, which is an anti-aging serum.
There are anti-aging lotions available in the market. I’ve tried one before, but I couldn’t be sure if it benefited me, since I didn’t notice anything different from when I was using an ordinary lotion. If you’ve tried one, though, let me know how it worked for you.

Always Remove Makeup
Never ever leave makeup overnight. That is a cardinal rule for women who are serious about looking young. Because it is said that makeup contains chemicals that are not very good for the skin and speed up aging. So no matter how tired I am at night, I always make it a point to remove any trace of makeup I have on.
Makeup Removers
Exfoliate
Exfoliating is beneficial for the skin because it removes dead skin, making way for the new, fresh ones underneath it to surface. It also removes blackheads and whiteheads.
Make it a habit to exfoliate at least twice weekly. I exfoliate every other day or three times a week.
Doing a face mask once a week is also beneficial.
Use Sunscreen. Always.
Sun exposure without the protection of sunscreen ages the skin so much. It also creates dark spots. So be sure to always apply sunscreen with an adequate sun protection factor before going out.

Hydrate
In my case, drinking lots of water helps hydrate and clear my skin. Other women swear by this too. Plus, of course, water is always good for the body.
Stress Less
They say stress ages and I believe in that. I believe that your emotional well-being greatly affects the way look. Stress is one of those constant things in life, though, so the key is to always find your joy no matter how stressful a situation is, maintain a happy attitude, or at least, keep the stress at a minimum level.
Regular meditation also helps in keeping stress at bay. In addition, try not to frown regularly because frowning creates lines on the face.

Change Sheets
Regularly change your bed sheets and pillowcases because these are always in direct contact with your skin. Dirt from those sheets and pillowcases is transferred to the skin, which creates bacteria that in turn produces skin imperfections.
